Spero Dedes was born on February 27, 1979, in Paramus, New Jersey, États Unis. He is a graduate of Paramus High School and a 2001 graduate of Fordham University in New York. Dedes is the radio voice of the Los Angeles Lakers, as well as a play-by-play announcer and host for NFL Network. In addition to his work with the Knicks, Dedes is a play-by-play announcer for CBS Sports, officially joining the network in 2010 on its coverage of both the NFL and NCAA Men’s Basketball. En mars 2010, Dedes called first and second round coverage of the Men’s Basketball Championship.
De 2006 à 2011, he served as a host/play-by-play announcer for NFL Network, where he hosted NFL Total Access Monday, providing both pregame and postgame news and analysis surrounding the Monday Night Football matchup. In addition to NFL Total Access, he held extensive play-by-play duties at the network, handling both preseason NFL games as well as college bowl games.
He was the play-by-play announcer alongside Sterling Sharpe on the international feed of Super Bowl XLI. He works with Beuerlein for college football and regional NFL telecasts. He has also filled in for Ian Eagle on play-by-play for the New York Jets preseason network on CBS 2 New York.
