Josie Long’s early life, education, and her childhood
The great comedian, Josie Long was born on 17 abril 1982 in Sidcup, Inglaterra. But she had spent her early life in Orpington, Londres, where she attended Newstead Wood School for Girls and was in Swift House. When she was at the age of 14, she began performing as a comedian. She had won the BBC New Comedy Awards at the age of 17. She had also attended Michael Knighton’s comedy course in Beckenham, Kent. And when she turned 18, she gave up stand-up whilst attending Lady Margaret Hall, Universidade de Oxford, though she ran experimental comedy clubs while at university, and graduated with a degree in English.
