Controversies • When his book, National Security: An Outline of Our Concerns (1996) published, Jaswant Singh was caught amidst a controversy since he mentioned in his book that a spy had leaked some information to U.S. sources. He claimed that the spy existed in the office of Prime Minister during the tenure of P. V. Narasimha Rao. Manmohan Singh challenged Jaswant to name the spy, to which Singh dismissed the topic by claiming that his perception about the spy was based on ‘hunch.’
• On 17 August 2009 his another book titled, Jinnah: India-Partition-Independence was released, in which he claimed that Jawaharlal Nehru’s centralized policy was responsible for the Partition of India. Moreover, his book praised Mohammad Ali Jinnah. Sentiments of many people were hurt, and later, he was expelled BJP because of his controversial book
